Windows 8.2 or Windows 9 — What’s Next
Microsoft could launch their next update as “Windows 8.2” in January 2015. We also get a code name of this major update as “Threshold”. We believe this time Microsoft is going to make significant chances in this updated OS version. One of them is returning back to the very old start menu.
As we all knew that Windows 8 had no start menu which makes most of the users unhappy. It also could be a cause of Windows 8 failure compare to their previous Windows versions. With this update 8.2 they are finally incorporating the old start menu which we are used to seeing in our previous versions.
They are also going to make so many changes in Internet explorer in this update. Internet Explorer 11 (Current version) has not so much changes compared to its previous version 10.
As per the Windows experts, this update could be released as Windows 9. Microsoft may not like to go with the brand name Windows 8 anymore after its poor feedback related to their previous versions. They are also going to release their first update for Windows 8.1 soon, but it may not come with so much change as they are projecting their “Threshold” updates more.
